Nevada Seismology Lab and Center for Neotectonic Studies Celebrate the Lab's 50th Anniversary and arrival of Christie Rowe as Lab's 5th Director.

The interim Director provided a recounting of The Birth and Evolution of the the Seismology Lab and Center to set the stage for the event.

Alumni from across the country and around the globe gathered together with today's faculty and staff under the clear blue skys of July 27, 2024

The sun was shining in the Biggest Little City


as were the lights of the pastel palaces


activities began with a morning visit to the Seismology Lab in the Paul Laxalt Mineral Engineering Building


where network manager Bill Savran greeted the curious.

and field implementation


then it was time for all to head down to the Truckee
